Msizi trades truck parts for pelts, and he wants paying part by part.

Lion Hunter Extreme is a first-person gallery shooter set on a heat-hazed savanna. Every hunt opens from the cab of a half-finished monster truck, rolls out until the pride is spotted, then drops you into the scope: lions gallop across the grass, man-eaters charge straight down the barrel, and every one you drop pays out in LION FUR. Bank 4,000 fur and the LION MONSTER TRUCK gets built β€” then the pride comes back faster and meaner.

STORY & LORE

Leo Monster

Safari legend, self-appointed. Leo Monster has exactly one ambition and it is not conservation: he intends to build the world's first lion monster truck, and he intends to build it out of lions. The game never argues with him about this.

The 4,000

Fur carries over between hunts. The bar along the bottom of the scope is the only progression in the game β€” 4,000 fur assembles the truck, and it is the one thing the game saves to your browser along with your best score and your hunt count.

HOW IT PLAYS

Two phases per hunt

A hunt starts in DRIVE: the cab rolls across the savanna for a couple of seconds until PACK SPOTTED comes up. Click or SPACE to SCOPE IN and the hunt proper begins. You never move during the hunt β€” this is a gallery, not a roaming FPS. Aim with the mouse, click or SPACE to fire, R to reload. On mobile, drag to aim with dedicated FIRE and RELOAD buttons.

Fur is paid for difficulty, not volume

Every downed lion pays a 40-fur base plus bonuses for how hard the shot was: up to +70 for distance (far lions are worth more than close ones), +45 for dropping a charging man-eater, and +40 for a headshot. A headshot also does double damage, so the hard shot is both faster and richer.

The combo multiplier

Consecutive kills without breaking the chain raise a multiplier by 0.25 each, capping at x2.5 on your seventh straight lion. The multiplier applies to the whole bonus stack, so a long chain of distant headshots is worth several times a lazy chain of close ones.

A day, and sixteen rounds

A day is short β€” half a minute of light β€” and you carry sixteen rounds in the belt with four in the magazine. When the belt is empty the day is over whether the pride is thinned out or not, so the shot you do not take matters as much as the one you do. The rifle is a bolt gun: it cycles between shots and you can watch it do it.

The giraffes

A giraffe wanders through every few seconds and it is not a target. Hitting one costs you up to three hundred and twenty pelts and puts a paw print on the HUD. Three prints and the wardens take the day's takings and your rifle for a week β€” the strikes carry between days until that happens, so a careless morning follows you.

VERSION HISTORY

VERSION D2026-09-16
  • Genre sharpened from Shooting to Shooting β€Ί Rail Shooter β€” a more precise shelf under the same genre, not a move out of it.
VERSION C2026-09-16
  • Genre sharpened from Shooting to Shooting β€Ί Rail Shooter β€” a more precise shelf under the same genre, not a move out of it.
VERSION B2026-09-08
  • The lions are lions. They were beige ellipses with stick legs; they are built on a skeleton now β€” deep chest, tucked waist, heavy haunches β€” with four legs that actually run a two-beat bound, a spine that flexes, a tail that swings, and a head that is mostly mane. The charging ones have a lowered brow, narrowed yellow eyes, an open mouth with fangs in it and whiskers.
  • Three ways a lion behaves rather than two: crossing, charging, and a lioness who lies flat out at range, creeps, and then commits without warning. Most of the pride is female and the females are faster. Black-maned males are bigger and take three.
  • Giraffes wander through and are not targets. Shooting one is a fine and a strike; three strikes and the wardens take you in. The strikes carry between days.
  • A day is half a minute and sixteen rounds. When the belt is empty the day is over, so the shot you do not take matters.
  • The rifle is a scoped bolt-action with a walnut stock, a banded front sight, a bolt that is thrown between shots and a case that comes out of it. It was a blue rectangle on a black pentagon.
  • The HUD is hide plates with torn edges: pelts burnt into one, the day as a sun going down behind the horizon, damage as claw slashes, giraffe strikes as paw prints, and the magazine as actual brass.
  • You are not collecting fur for its own sake any more. Msizi at the yard trades truck parts for pelts and wants paying part by part, so the bar along the bottom is five parts rather than one number.
  • The plain has grass on it β€” burnt and unburnt patches, standing grass that gets taller as it comes toward you, and the track the truck came in on β€” rather than a vertical gradient with straight lines over it.
  • The truck has knobbly tyres with tread blocks, wheels with lugs, visible suspension links and springs, a roll cage, a light bar and exhaust stacks. Finished, it wears the mane round the grille and the teeth across the bumper.
  • The panels scroll and scale to the frame. On a short embedded frame the heading and the button used to go off the top and bottom where nobody could reach them.
