Tap to fly. Don't touch the walls. It only gets worse.

Hell Copter is a one-button flyer in the Flappy Bird / classic 'Helicopter Game' mould: tap (or click, or Space) to lift, let gravity pull you back down, and thread the gaps between the pipes. Proudly stupid and minimal — but now the pipes glow red-hot, embers drift up from below, the screen reddens as you speed up, and crashing goes out in a shower of fire. (Currently v0.75 — Beta.)

STORY & LORE

Just keep flying

No story, no goal beyond the next gap. The purest possible arcade loop — the only thing between you and a higher score is your own thumb rhythm, and the walls are getting hotter.

HOW IT PLAYS

One-button lift

Every tap kicks the copter upward; stop tapping and gravity takes over. Fly in a steady rhythm — over-flap and you smack the ceiling, under-flap and you sink into the floor. The copter tilts with its speed so you can read a climb from a drop at a glance.

Thread the hot pipes

Pipes scroll in from the right with a gap in the middle, their edges glowing red-hot. Fly through to score. Every 5 pipes the scroll speed ticks up — and as it does, the background reddens and a danger vignette creeps in from the edges. There's no top end.

Fiery crash

Clip a pipe or hit the floor and the copter bursts into a shower of embers with a screen-shake and a crunchy retro crash. Your score is submitted to the leaderboard, and it's one tap to dive back in.

VERSION HISTORY

VERSION B2026-07-27
  • Kept it deliberately minimal, but added a little fire and urgency: pipe edges now glow red-hot, embers drift up from below, and the background + a danger vignette redden as the scroll speed climbs.
  • Added a retro audio layer (it was silent before): a square-wave flap and score blip plus a noise+saw crash.
  • Crashing now bursts into fiery particles with a screen-shake.
  • Verified drag/tap at phone viewport; marked mobile-friendly. Graded v0.75 (Beta).
  • Studio: John (one of the site's original founder prototypes).
VERSION A2026-07-27
  • First wiki, documenting the game as catalogued (v0.2 — early prototype): one-button lift, tower gaps, per-gap scoring, speed ramp, leaderboard submit.
  • Studio: John.
